Meeting new people and listening to their life stories makes my role as a Celebrant so enjoyable.
I aim to connect with you and listen carefully to your ideas enabling me to create a truly personal ceremony. By doing this, you can rest assured that on the day, your ceremony will be a truly memorable occasion not just for you but also for your family and friends.
No two couples are the same and I make sure that no two ceremonies are the same either. I always remember that it’s your ceremony and it’s all about you.

My background
I am a fully qualified Independent Celebrant with a focus on Wedding Ceremonies, Partnership Ceremonies and Vow Renewals. I have an accredited Level 3 National Diploma from Civil Ceremonies Ltd, one of the UK’s leading celebrant training companies.
I now have several years experience in writing and delivering ceremonies at many of the outstanding venues here in Gloucestershire and the surrounding area.
I became a celebrant having witnessed and enjoyed the beauty and personal experiences of celebrations whilst living in Australia. Across a variety of locations, wineries to beaches, gardens to golf clubs, I observed the relaxed, vibrant and unique atmosphere these locations offered to those getting married. I wanted to take a piece of this home and create my own ceremonies for couples like you.
Common Questions
Regarding Ceremonies
What is a wedding celebrant?
A celebrant is a professionally trained official, with the skills and experience to create and deliver a personal ceremony just for you. A celebrant ceremony has no restrictions in terms of format or style. You can quite simply have the ceremony in the venue and location of your choice and no licence is required.
I believe that no two couples are the same and your wedding ceremony is probably one of the most amazing and beautiful moments you will share with each other. I make sure I listen carefully to your requirements and I’m open to any suggestions you may want whilst also able to offer some ideas you may not have thought of. It’s your day and your ceremony and I am here to ensure it is exactly as you want it to be on the day.
Is a ceremony legally binding?
A celebrant ceremony is not legally binding and you would need to be legally married by a Registrar. This can be done either before or after your celebrant ceremony in a short and simple service at the Register Office. I am totally flexible with timings for your ceremony because I only do one ceremony a day.
What happens during a ceremony?
There are no strict rules on the format of a ceremony but usually they are around 30 minutes in length. Why not include friends and family within your ceremony. You may wish to have music, readings and to exchange your wedding rings. Writing your own personal vows is a beautiful way to really make your ceremony extremely personal to you and I can help you with ideas on writing these.. I also offer a certificate signing at the end of your ceremony if you wish and included in the price is a souvenir script of your ceremony.
Why choose a celebrant ceremony?
A celebrant ceremony is a great alternative and will ensure your wedding is unique and personal.
With many couples now looking at more unusual locations and wishing to choose their own words and vows to say to each other, a celebrant is a far more accommodating choice. Furthermore, if you have dreams of getting married overseas but wish to celebrate with family and friends on your return then a celebrant ceremony can be a beautiful way to recreate your wedding day.
